The Latest on Class Giving

News from your ’73 Alumni Fund - September 2024

We are happy to announce that our class raised $115,780 during the 2023-24 campaign, exceeding our goal of $110,000. 177 classmates, or 55.3% of the class, donated.

Thank you to all the class agents for their hard work. They are the driving force behind these numbers. As it takes a village to raise these dollars year in and year out, let’s give them a shout-out:  Cheryl Bailey, Julian Beckford, Bill Bodenstab, Kevin Cummings, Steve Dewey, Emlen Drayton, Bill Eyre, Dan Farley, Bill Foote, Tom Geissler, Steve Harty, Linda Heath, Tom Hyndman, Marc Joyce, Charlie Kieler, Jill Millis, Wylie Mitchell, Mike Prigoff, Bruce Richards, Norton Rosenthal, Mary Schendel, Larry Shoer, Dick Small, Putnam Smith, Cecily Ellrodt Stone, Diana Hole Strickler, Cole Werble and David Wilder.

Tom Lee has agreed to become a Head class agent (joining Bruce Richards, Mary Schendel and Linda Vipond), as John Neikirk has stepped down from that role. Thank you, John, for all your hard work.

This year’s Alumni Fund campaign officially starts in mid-October. There are three important dates to remember as you plan to make your gift:

       December 31, to get a tax deduction for 2024;

       March 31, to have your donation count towards the trophy numbers; and   

       June 30, to have your donation included in the year’s grand total.
